Hello Pledgehammers!

Get in your wrestling-based questions for the WrestleTalk Mailbag for September 2023. This month it will be Luke and Tempest answering your questions!

We're filming tomorrow afternoon (Wednesday), so you have a little less than 24 hours to questions in. Go!

George

How do yous feel about seeing punks potential final match ever?

Z

Which All Out match should've been on All In?

jdlznpack

With judgement day being the new heel tag team champions who do you think will be the new face team to take it from them? My hope is a DIY reunion but what’s yours?

Chris deaton

What’s your match of the year so far

Woffubett

What has been y’all’s favorite episode of Survival Series so far?

Skye Shadowrun

Say someone asked you to recommend them a year to watch in WWE, would you recommend that they start from the first show in January or would you recommend they start at/after Mania? (I know Mania is sometimes, at the very least by my friends, known as a sort of reset point/big end of stories and such and the draft is usually after Mania)

Sam Palmer

My dudes. Pleasure meeting you over All In weekend, I was the lad who talked to you outside Four Quarters after RevPro and found out Luke is actually a scouser 😂 ON THAT NOTE, will All In 2024 sell more tickets than this year or will it be a bit of a bust?

ryley

If you were to bring back an old version of a title to replace the current look which one would it be. I'd switch the intercontinental back to the oval title from the attitude era. Take care fellas 🙂

Misha Sumra

Bit of a trivia question- Can the panel think of any other wrestler themes, except Cody Rhodes’ “Kingdom” or Aussie Open's "Aussie Aussie Aussie", where the lyrics explicitly reference Pro Wrestling?

Kevin Fleuriot

Am I the only one who wants to see Gunther keep his title for a while ? He made his title reign relevant and interesting in a way that we only cared about the record when we were approaching the day. He had fresh feuds, different matches against different opponents, and most of them delivered. Even when he wasn't defending the title, he made it relevant (his Royal Rumble performance). He is the personification of "the man makes the title".

Fin Brennan

Who was the first wrestler you fell in love with solely based on their promo abilities?

Liam Leonard

Will you help inspire me to beat Leyton buzzard at Grapple Games our companies biggest show of the year? Love you guys JTJ

Caleb Maldonado

So now that punk's gone from aew where does the 2024 title storyline go to

ghostfacebillah

Do you see any way possible for CM Punk to restore his image or is he too far gone. And if yes, what's the path back?

Sean Hughes

Who would you want CM Punk to do a podcast with since he was terminated with AEW?

Rob Buck

I’m guessing you’re going to be/about to be drowning in CM Punk Questions (I think the whole situation sucks personally and think more accountability needs to be taken from others.) so I want to have a fun one: Have you ever explained/wanted to explain a movie or video game to someone using wrestling terms? As in when Mario “went over” on that “heel” bowser?

TJM

Do you guys think MJF could be one of wrestling's greatest babyfaces if he continues his current babyface run

Sidious2k19

What is the meaning behind the NJPW Never open weight title?

Jerrod Hazelwood

With talk of Edge going to AEW, who do you think "needs" the other more? AEW just lost Punk, but are coming off 2 HUGE shows, and Danielson coming back. Edge is a major star, but I can see ending his career with Christian being very important to him, and Christian just resigned with AEW.

Glyn Matthews

How did you guys travel out of Wembley after All In. Did I miss a trick? Found it to be a nightmare myself

Rob James

Howdy beautiful peeps, my question is who would have made a worse choice for King of the Ring 1995 than Mabel? Love to you all

Homerstar

Do you think the Bloodline can still have a satisfying conclusion and how do you think they can make it satisfying?

KiddGaskin98

Who is most likely to be AEW first Triple Crown winner: Mox, Hangman or Omega?

Drjos

I'm planning a trip to Japan so Tempest when in the year should I try to get there and what show would you say I should try to go see live? Will likely just go to Tokyo

Adam Gallick

Luke: season 4 of my GM Mode. Pete vs Luke. Hair vs Hair and the Looser has to grow 'a Butcher'. Do it.

Phill Lawrence

Hi guys - what match in the last 12 months were you seriously underwhelmed at the build but seriously overwhelmed at the result! #JTJ

It's Evan Not Kevin

Hey guys, I went to All In from Ireland, didn't get the chance to see any of he guys at the show sadly hopefully next year (Did see Ross from Cultaholic). Any lil stories from meeting fans at the show/any stories from going to the show?

ella price

Favourite match from the revpro anniversary show

that guy who want to support

Where would you like to see Ospreay go when he's contract expired? I don't mean where do you think he would but where would you like yo see him, personally I want him to stay in Japan he didn't really get a full world title reign and I still want him to win the G1 one day. Also Tempest I'm with you on the Phanpy supremacy train our cute little elephant should be protected at all costs!

tommmm

good evening mr wrestletalk and tempest hope you’re great, if you could introduce anything from prime tna (example any stipulations/wrestlers/ maybe even the six sided ring;)) into aew to add something else what would you choose :) #jtj

Captain Nick

Over the past couple years I’ve gotten my spouse into wrestling as a whole, over the past few months I’ve gotten them into wrestletalk. We watch every news video, podcasts, survival series and their biggest take away/gripe is, “why does Luke abbreviate wrestler’s names weird??” (eg. Trips, Bobbles Splashley, etc) and the best I could give them was “because it’s funny.” So if you have a better reason I’d love to let them hear it.

Daniel Howse

Over/under on WWE signing Punk to the most lucrative contract in wrestling history, only to job him out to The Miz for 52 straight episodes of Raw?

Graff

Big T ever since you found out about Gouki's and DinoWrestlers have you been playing the decks? Or just collecting the cards?

Exile001

Would you want to see CM Punk in another promotion? Like, do you think AEW was just a bad fit or has this all damaged his overall appeal for you?

MySpiritAnimalisADorito

What had a more negative impact on The Undertaker's legacy: his terrible match with Goldberg, his terrible match with Kane vs. Shawn & Triple H, or him finally breaking kayfabe after retirement and showing us all who Mark Calaway really is?

Ilan Woll

Let’s assume for the moment that CM Punk was happy and content in AEW and all the issues had not occurred. What would be your dream CM Punk match

karim

Name a wrestler you don't like that everyone else likes. And name one wrestler you like that everyone else don't like

Ilan Woll

You get a limited use Time Machine and get to go to any non-Wrestlemania show of the past. Which one do you attend and why?

Evan Pilon

What is your entrance music, and what is your ppv entrance music? (i.e. Bryan Danielson normal entrance music vs. using final countdown at Wembley)

Colleen Kelemen

What matches or storylines from AEW would you use to convince someone to watch their programming?

Hector Rodriguez

With the UFC and WWE merger to be finalized at the end of the month. do you guys think Endeavour will influence WWE programming?

Callum Lucas

Who is the one mid card guy who never got into the main event scene you wish had got there?

Zach

With JD McDonough wanting to join Judgement Day do you think a segment called Day of Judgment would be a good idea for the group? This segment would determine if a group member should stay within the group and or join the group, they could even use balancing scales for the pros and cons of this.

Mark Jones

Hey Gents, hope all is well with you both. All In was great! I attended and was near ringside for the event (it was so cool). My question coming out of All In is do you think that AEW should also bring Dynamite/Collision or both to the UK to make next year's event even more special and a great experience for the fans who come?

BC_Auron

Any new video formats (ex. 3-count, survival series) in the works for the channels?

Thomas Solorzano

With all of the news about CM Punk done with AEW and "Joker" Jack Perry being suspended, do you think there will be any storylines that would be more character driven then just the elite being the center of the universe.

Owen

Would Maku Donaruto (Japanese Clown wrestler) from DDT work in one of the major wrestling promotions? His brand of comedy wrestling would be “interesting” in the mainstream but not sure if it would catch on 😅

Socialist Stunner

Does AEW have an age problem in its main event scene? A lot of top guys won’t be around full time in let’s say five years. I feel like MJF is THE complete package but besides him who else can be future Main eventers and will they be on the same level as Omega, Danielson, Mox, etc? P.s. It was awesome to meet Pete at All in. Thanks for being so nice despite me being absolutely star struck!

kieran gibbs

Tempest, as a fellow sports mark, I had a take I think you might appreciate. Bryan Danielson is the Michael Jordan of professional wrestling and Kenny Omega is Lebron James. Do you have any basketball players who remind you of wrestlers or vice versa? (Am I also trying to hear you sports-splain to WrestleFolk again? Possibly.)

Parker King

With the sad passing of Bray Wyatt, I started thinking about Bo Dallas and how this could effect him professionally. WWE is no stranger to taking a traumatic event and turning it into a storyline. Does the team at WrestleTalk believe that WWE is capable of both using this as an opportunity to give Bo Dallas a proper WWE push AND use Bray's passing in storyline tastefully? Or would WWE be wise to leave the subject alone entirely?

Mack St

Hello Luke and my fellow Canadian Tempest with MJF heading on a possible collision course with Samoa Joe how do you think Adam Cole and the kingdom factor in? and after Joe where does Mjf’s story go next?

The Zack Delusion

Hello gents! I'm a photographer in the Canadian indie scene. The promotions I work with are IWS, BattleWar (Montreal) C*4 (Ottawa) amongst others. What were your first and most recent indie shows you guys have seen live? Thank you!

Chris

Hi lads hope all is well. This is my pitch for how we get to the Cody/Roman, Jimmy/Jay mania matches. Cody goes to smackdown. Jay wins the World heavyweight championship. Jay vs Roman as SS, Jay beats Roman causing him to take it out on Jimmy because he messed up. Jimmy wins the rumble and Challenges Jay so the bloodline has all the belts. Cody is knocked out of the rumble by Jimmy because solo and him cheat. Cody goes into the chamber and wins (beating solo in the final 2) giving him the shot against roman. Cody and Jay win at mani bloodline is dead. Roman leaves solo is the new Paul Heyman guy What do you both think?
