Always appreciate a Partridge reference in the description Slacky. Jurassic Park!

Dire scenes for the UFC when slacky has to time travel to smile at MMA

I'll be in your stable of fighters Jack, but I'm going to build my style around head & arm throws and an impotent closed guard.

StoryoftheFight

Am I remembering it correctly? Hendo vs Jones fell through, Chael tried to step in, Jones denied it, they cancelled the event, then based off that drama they did Chael vs Jones?

Louis Choo-Choy

Jack always apologises when he goes on tangents about movies/documentaries/video games but I think I speak for most people we love hearing about that stuff !

The review of DJ vs kyoji makes me wish Jack still did film room episodes

With regard to Perez and "what's going on?": People don't understand just how much being prone to injury is based on simple genetics and other factors that determine how durable one's body is. As a hockey player who's played with a lot of former professionals (NHL, AHL, and ECHL), I've had the opportunity to hear a lot of stories in the locker room. They'd often talk about guys who seemed 100% destined for the NHL in their late-teens based on every aspect of the game, but were constantly getting injured in plays that the vast majority of players would barely notice happening. They were on the same junior team, playing the same system, using the same team nutritionist, doing the same workout routines and practices together (so it wasn't an improper training or diet issue), etc. Some people's bones are more brittle, or their ligaments tear more readily, or they can't recover from concussions like others, and so on. I've personally seen one potential NHL career derailed by a torn pectoral, a torn abdominal muscle, and a suddenly constantly separating shoulder, all within the span of two years. The guy was totally fine until that point, and then his body just broke down on him at eighteen years old. He was drafted far lower than his skill because of the injuries he already suffered a year before the draft, but everyone said he'd be the steal of that season if he could stay healthy. He kept trying to come back for four years and just kept racking up new injuries (the separated shoulder was the only recurring one, until the concussions began...). He finally gave up trying to play professionally at any level and went to college. It was just never going to happen and his body was only going to take more, worse, long-term damage if he kept going. It's just one of those sad facts of life, especially when you put in the work and have the skill to be destined for greatness. I'm not saying this is the case with Perez, but just pointing out that guys who are constantly injured are often so because that's just the way they're built.

You know your old when a 36 year old Victor Henry is too young for you

Val Dewar

Most of Perez's cancelations are not cuz of him. About half are him, half are his opponents. He's injury prone but also cursed

I like the mma media discussion, as someone who is well read in martial arts. Do you have a rough booklist similar to the instructional video list?

Little Bobby

Tim Means is so old he got his AARP card last year.

anyone know where to find PFL torrents?

Sir Digby Chicken Julio Caesar Chavez

I sincerely doubt it :P But really, they do have some good fights. It's just mind-boggling how much crap they get wrong. A teenager could do a better production job. Besides the ridiculous team-sports format and constantly changing the days their events take place, they also have exceedingly stupid shit like the "Smart Cage," "Ghost Cam," and "AI score." Who are they marketing to and what, exactly, are they even trying to market with that shit?

Matthias Sun

I'd try mmacore.tv , it's what I use when I'm unable to catch ufc events live, I'm pretty sure I've seen some pfl fights on it. Just make sure you have an adblocker and antivirus
