MASAAKI NOIRI FIGHT WEEK🔥🔥🔥🇯🇵🇯🇵👹👹🥊

StoryoftheFight

Kade is fighting Ray Cooper's brother for his debut. Adds a wrinkle to it a bit, probably not a significant one though lol

Abdur Rehman

Connors team probably hid his phone, leading to the rumours.

Patrick

Roman Kopylov of watching Jamahal Hill cope a lot

Ryan Romani

Nattuwat almost lost his last fight too lmfao he's getting smoked

I started with MMA and this podcast in 2018 and am burning out a bit to be honest. But sometimes I start burning and back off and then the interest builds again

(1) I couldn't give less of a shit about Conor and think the sport has been much better off without him for a long time now, but this shit is getting hilarious. Maybe Dana will say, "OK, here's several more million. Help me, Obi-Wan McGregor. You're my only hope." I mean the dude won't be drug-tested (bye, USADA!), he'll get paid a ridiculous amount of money, and can do whatever the fuck he wants until and after the fight. And if he trains enough to make it even two rounds he probably has a damn good chance of knocking out Chinned-A-Minute Chandler. At this point I'm assuming he's just in a constant state of too coked up and/or drunk and making too much money from his shit "whisky" to care. This was likely just another way to temporarily boost his residence in the consciousness of the average JUST BLEED fan, but maybe he really is holding out for more money. But I do feel bad for Chandler if he misses this huge payday. (2) MORE IMPORTANTLY, what happened to "an ass like I've never seeeEEEeeen"?!? I know the twerking might be cringe (well, *I* enjoy it!), but daaamn, Alina Perez. The grappling in that match was hilarious, as was the commentators shouting, "oh my god, she reversed! And now she reversed! And now she reversed! Such high-level grappling!" Still, I respect that she's one of the few fighters that can actually take down someone with a head and arm throw and use it to actually establish top position. That plus the AliNS has to count for something (damn, that anagram is literally missing just the last letter to spell Alina!). (3) I was sure Andrea Lee would be cut after he last fight. She's lost four in a row in brilliantly boring fashion and seven of her last nine. She's showed not only zero growth for several years, but a significant downgrade in her abilities and IQ. There's only so many times you can watch someone yell while punching and kicking at air 1.5 feet from her opponent and still managing to get constantly dinged before asking, "how is this a professional fighter?" And then you realize she's attractive and fighting in women's flyweight for probably 15 and 15 (wait, are there 5 and 5 contracts?) in early prelims every time. Still, losing a fifth in a row in the most boring way has to be it, right? ...Right?

The Dominick Reyes vs Ryan Spann fight was a year and six months after his fight with Jiri, he got ko'd against Prochazka in May 2021 and by Spann in November 2022, so he had a year and a half break after the Prochazka ko and still got flatlined by Ryan Spann's jab

J Damsel

He looked good against Tawanchai though

The Conor McGregor of coked up debtors

Thanks Jack for at some point drawing my attention to the Kelvin Gastelum fat man roll. It saved me from a worse beating a little over a week ago in my 10th ammy mma fight Just thought I'd thank you while I was thinking about it 🍻 cheers 🍻

Caleb

I feel like this is a darksouls reference 😆 I really need to play it 🛡⚔️

I'm at the point now where I just assume combat sports dorks are into Dark Souls :) Yes, you really do need to play it. Though if you find the first one too janky, try Dark Souls 3. The first one was basically an experiment that ran out of budget and still became a legend, but it's pretty old now and the last third of the game is where the budget limitations really show. But it was truly the first of its kind.

Great advice. My first FromSoft game was DS3 during the pandemic and I've now beaten them all multiple times, love them all. Only other games I've enjoyed this much are the Bungie Halo games and Doom Eternal, for completely different reasons lol.

It's insane how replayable they are. It's not like they're open-world. Sure, there's some optional stuff you might miss, but otherwise everything before Elden Ring is replayable solely based on the quality, joy, and design of the gameplay and environments. That is such an exceedingly rare thing to achieve for someone like me (I'm VERY picky when it comes to which games can hold my attention!). And basically everyone has that same experience. And with every new franchise, FromSoft somehow continues to build something new for the gaming world that's then immediately copied. Oh, fifteen years of boring open worlds with cut-and-paste environments and tons of markers that all lead to the same chore like killing everyone in an enemy camp? Well, how about the biggest open world ever where nobody tells you where to go or what to do, there are secrets every-fucking-where, constant changes in environment and topography, surprises around every corner, and literally everything you see can eventually be reached? And there are moments where you stumble upon vistas so awe-inspiring that your jaw literally drops? Let's do THAT! Nobody has even tried to replicate that yet and I don't think they will. (I know Elden Ring isn't perfect and has many cut-and-paste dungeons and bosses, but it's still a monumental and untouched achievement in so many insane ways)
