Roy Jones Jr vs James Toney - Attacking the Shell (Slacky's Film Room)

I don't own this footage I just like talking about techniques

Toney was so dope the beating he put on holyfield was legendary

smilebomb

Absolutely love these boxing breakdowns especially on slicksters like James Tony and RJJ! Hope you do more of them in the future 🐶

James Kendrick

does it cut off at the end? you were about to say something

Skleebs

Totally off topic, but have you ever discussed defending the 10 finger guillotine in an article or podcast? I've been getting wrecked by my coach when he encloses it with his knees in that crouching squat stance thing.

This was awesome, thanks Slacky!

Kaempfkuenstler

Gosh a good shoulder roll in boxing is almost an unfair technique!

Slink

“First time I heard ‘Philly Shell’ was in…Fight Night Round 2.” made me audibly chuckle. Great stuff as always!

17:49 Hey Jacky, can you post that mythical techniques article?? I’m so interested in things of that nature

Robert Jacob

Off topic slackman, but any plans to review some of the fights this upcoming UFC event?or PFL the week after? Love these film rooms as always

Some of Roy’s punches remind me of enemy attacks where they shoot an orb out, and then after some time the attack comes from the orb. That is to say he puts stuff out into the space and then chooses what among those things will be attacks. Pretty awesome to see it.
