I agree. But if you think of the replacements for a while you realize how fucking uninspiring they are. No Aspinall because of baguette fingers, no Jones because of weird behind the scenes retardation and no real american flagship title. Now we have Gaethje who I really like, but who is also really old and honestly not as interesting and Gane who has done nothing besides rob Volkov and give himself a run for his money with Tuivasa. O’Malley vs Zahabi is maybe an Apex headliner, Ruffy vs Chandler is baffling until you realize who Chandler is. I could go on but it really feels like three times warmed leftover pizza.

Diego Lopes might be the best example of Brazilian with excellent guard but only wants to chin you, except he's forsaken his country for Mexico. Carlos Diego Ferreira, to a degree, does what Oliveira does but has half the gas tank & twice the unfounded confidence in his hands. His escapes from bottom might be even better though. Nate & Nick Diaz fight like this as well.

I had no idea about Tom Aspinall signing with the Hearns, but that sounds promising. I don't know much about Eddie, but Barry Hearn helped make Steve Davis and some other snooker players heaps of money. Hearn is one of the main reasons snooker is run so profitably today, while American pool simply never has been. No one below the top 16 tends to make enough to live on, but a few of the champions do very well. I’d take the Hearns over 99 out of 100 managers any day. Tom deserves a fair shake after how the UFC did him dirty.
