It's high praise for Melville that a UK chap like yourself would quote a Yank at length. And it is, in my opinion, one of the greatest opening lines in literature. Better than the Tale of Two Cities opener that gets all thebpraise the praise. Well placed, good Sir. I needed that.

Thanks Slacky for your James Brown karaoke reveal. 👍

Please can we have a film room on good ground & pound, past and present?

Jack Slack / Moby Dick is the crossover I didn't know I needed on this rainy Thursday evening

Slack finally found the way out of his bum

Slacky, what’s up with a Prince Naseem striking 2.0 article? I’ve been watching his fights lately in an effort to get worse at boxing, but I forgot how unreal it was to watch this guy. If anybody needs your technical translation, it’s Prince Naseem. I’ll even give you five more bucks

He was in rare form for this one here boys...

Just started reading Moby-Dick for the first time recently, so i really appreciated the opening of this one. Fantastic book, as it turns out, wildly entertaining.

John Watson

Be prepared, it dose drag on a little. But it was a passion project so it was cool to see the author just be able write everything they wanted. The pacing gets slow towards the end. Still loved it thought.
