I get why Jack is talking up the threat Yair poses, but to me, I don't look at that Max fight as a "Max had to resort to grappling" fight as much as I see a "Yair is so bad at grappling he lost a fight to max cause Max wrestlefucked him for a couple rounds" fight. Like that hole in his game is so glaringly obvious it got him in trouble in the Emmett fight...a guy who Topuria never for a second looked even remotely in trouble against. Yair's takedown defense is fucking awful, especially because he is so willing to cede top position for some perceived bottom advantage I've never actually seen him really capitalize on against a competent grappling opponent. I would actually be surprised to see Volk, a guy who has faced guys as big as Yair, who pose as big a finishing threat as Yair, not see that giant fucking gaping hole in his game that plays to one of his strengths and not exploit it to the fullest. Especially since anyone who has ever been in any kind of fight knows...top control pretty much dictates who wins 95% of the time. That is to say, I think this one might be a bit of a Volk-Aldo type snoozer, where Volk takes the safe route to a decision win, by taking away his opponents weapons by neutralizing him without wrecking him completely.
