The adcc champions won 4 fights under bjj rules and the Sambo guys won 3 fights under bjj rules. That's actually pretty impressive for the Sambo guys since they don't specialize. Is Sambo even known anymore for leg locks anymore? The dagestanis seem more praised for take downs, pressure and folkstyle rides, and back takes. I find it strange them getting heel hooked is what you're fixating on. It's not like the ADCC guys went into a combat Sambo competition tion and beat the dagestanis at their own game. Instead the adcc guys beat the Dagestanis at a BJJ competition and the Dagestanis still got some wins.
