The Quiet City Art Club is here! (Patreon)
Content
Hey everyone,
some time has passed since I announced some bigger changes coming to my Patreon, and today I'm happy to say that I can finally release the planned update!
Here's what's new:
I'm starting a snail mail club: The Quiet City Art Club
It's been a while since the digital world – and being a kind of all digital artist – has felt truly fulfilling to me. I want to create more meaningful art, connections, and physical things. Slow paced crafts instead of throwaway content.
With my new Art Club, I want to take a step in this direction. And a Tarot based idea felt perfect for that. I'm not a very esoteric or even occult person, but when reading more into Tarot, I saw that it's also great for self reflection. The letters that come with the Quiet City artworks will give you some input on that, as well as story bits about the City and context about every month's card.
The new Tier Structure on Patreon
From now on, Patreon will have three tiers:
The Plastic Club: This is going to stay just the same as it was. And promised, I will post more often again. The posts will circle a lot around my work on the Tarot deck and monthly artworks.
The Quiet City Art Club: This tier will be the standard Mailing Club Membership. You will get an art print and a letter each month, for 12 EUR. Worldwide shipping is included.
The Quiet City Tarot Club: This is the Mailing Club, but with some extras. The Print will be signed, and there's a special physical item coming on top each month. This will replace the Art Critique Club, and the price is 16 EUR. If you have been a member of the Art Critique Club, your price will not change - please don't forget to add your shipping info!
I'm also launching the Art Club in my shop here: quietcity.xyz
Full transparency, the price over there is 1 EUR cheaper than here. This is because of the higher Patreon fees, but you will of course also get all other Patreon benefits. If you're only interested in the Art Club though, you can also subscribe there!
Art Club FAQ
Here's some questions I thought some of you might have. Of course I'm always happy to help in the comments or through DMs as well!
How does it work?
The Quiet City is an ongoing illustrated Tarot project. This Art Club is a way to participate and receive the story piece by piece, in my own slow pace. As a member, you'll receive mail from me once a month. It includes a new Tarot Art Print, and a letter with context about the card's meaning, and self-reflective questions for you.
Can I change my address or pause my membership?
Yes, you can manage your subscription and change your address any time! If you'd like to pick up at the same month's artwork later, just let me know which was the last you received and I'll give you a seamless continue.
When will my letters be sent out?
New letters will always go out at the start of a month. If you subscribe before the 1st of a month, you'll be included in the next month's cycle. After that, you'll receive the following month's letter. Each monthly payment is always connected to a specific mailing, so you don't get charged double.
How long does shipping take?
Regular letter mail run times can vary a lot, but mail within Europe usually takes around 1-2 weeks, worldwide around 2-4 weeks. Especially with the US customs situation, my experience is that everything just needs a little longer these days.
Are there tracked shipping options?
At this point, I'd like to keep the mailing club as affordable and straightforward as possible. Worldwide shipping is always included, but I only send everything by regular mail.
Can I catch up on previous Prints?
The Quiet City Tarot project will be divided into seasons. Once season 1 is completed, you will be able to buy all 9 prints as a package. However, you can also choose to start from Season 1 - just send me a note after subscribing!
I don't know where this Quiet City journey will take me, but I'm so much looking forward to this. And I can't wait to hopefully send out some mail out in the world, to some of you guys!
Hope you like what I've been cooking!
CheersStefan
