Hey friends,

the last art update in July will be a little different, as I'd like to share a project with you that I made around a year ago. I've been asked to create live concert backgrounds for Peekaboo , an electronic music artist. This was the first time I did such a job, it was quite the grind but also fun: I had to create super widescreen scenes with different themes where a small skeleton dude could run through. 💀🏃‍♂️

However, for the concerts, the agency building the visuals changed the look of my artworks very heavily. I have to admit that I was not that happy with how they looked and you couldn't really recognize my work that much anymore (also compared to how the briefing came in). Of course you have your pride in your art, and I think you got to accept the fact that clients have their visions and wishes. This one was tough to take though cause the budget was relatively tight and I worked my ass off on these. I just wanted to share this little insight and that it's not all fun & games sometimes. 🤷‍♂️

For that reason, I didn't share the artworks so far. I still like them though - hope you'll do as well! I think the live visuals were still cool looking, here's a video I found where you can see some of it.

Have a great weekend everyone!- Stefan

Man, I personally love your world building and specifically these scenic type artworks. Too bad you can’t resell them because I certainly pick a few up!
