Art Update 10-28 / Core Techs, Tarot & Wallpapers (Patreon)

Good Friday friends,

I hope you're all enyoing the ending golden October (at least here it was quite golden). So much happening at once right now, let's wrap a couple of things up today!

The Shroomheads Core Techs Faction

The Shroomheads team finally started working on the project again. I don't want to dive too deep into the details of our next steps, you can follow along these on our Discord announcements, if you're interested.

However, I 99% finished our next faction, the Core Techs. ⚡ Here's some sneak peeks for you, along with a little intro to their story written by Ric Galbraith.

White Mayhem – Core Tech – The Core Techs, the weapon of choice in a future no one wanted. An army developed and built as the ultimate back up for a war that everyone hoped would never come. Created to fight in the event of a hostile artificial intelligence. Soldiers like none other in the history of humanity, they were a breed outside of anything anyone had ever seen. Fighters to a point, scientists, analysts and specialists in a vast array of fields and weapons, equipped with biomechanical and cybernetic implants and armour, ready for an eventuality that no one could predict, let alone prepare for. Amongst these new warriors pulled from all genders, all races, all castes and creeds, was one human, one being that had to stand and lead, they who became known as White Mayhem.

Neuromancer – Core Tech – The rumour and conspiracy of what the Core Techs are, if they ever really existed, is not without an element of truth. As with all conspiracies, these things myths, legends often build on some foundational reality, and in this case, we know that the Core Techs were real, an army built to take on an AI if it should ever turn hostile. What we also know now, is that White Mayhem is utilising the Shroom with some of the few remaining original Core Techs, to try and resurrect that technology, to help them in their ongoing fight against any possible AI resurgence, and the powers that are pushing for its recreation. Here we find Neuromancer, a tech priest for want of a better name, a Core Tech from the original army developed, evolved and engineered to house incredible levels of intelligence far beyond any normal human brain.

Shock – Spirit Tech – Wars are fought on all fronts in the NEO-Budapest Triangle. The gangs peddle the shroom, keeping the streets addicted. The elites look to each other with disdain fighting their cold wars and using the people as pawns in their never-ending toing and froing. The metaverse, the Shroomworld, the meatworld, ongoing physical and psychic battles that gnaw away and grind down. The Triangle is no place for the weak of spirit or mind, and as White Mayhem holds fast in their war against the resurrection of the AI that nearly ended them all, they know they cannot faulter, they know they have no time for anything other than pure focus, and so, they always have Shock at their side.

The Kolectiv Tarot deck

I shared the artworks for the Tarot deck with you a while ago. Now the whole project is finally going to launch! I will give away two free decks, worth 0.099 ETH - one to my supporters on Discord, the other one to my newsletter subscribers.
