Hey guys,

learning a few basics in Blender 3D was on my "long-term wishlist" for maybe 2-3 years now. Now the right moment finally came: I had a scene with a nasty perspective in mind, and also I finished most ongoing client projects for now. 🥳

I wanted to give you just a quick view into my process today.

Why learning 3D?

Like mentioned above, some perspectives are hard to tackle. In 3D, you can play around with cameras and push objects and lights around. Try that in 2D and you're in for lots of extra work 😄

I also want to up my lighting game, create more complex and realistic shadows, etc. I won't use this for all my artworks now, but it will be helpful for some!

Is it worth it?

It's not intuitive or super easy to learn cause Blender is a bit overwhelming with all its functions. But there's a TON of good tutorials out there, and I'm usually bad at learning and focusing on this kind of stuff, so if I can do it...

Right now I'm in the middle of the coloring and shading process (actually quite far), and I think there's some development compared to my usual approach. I also made the original model slightly visible so the shading looks more dynamic.

I'm going to finish coloring the scene and then add some very subtle animation to it today and tomorrow. It will then become an edition on Exchange (Solana), and serve as a "Season Pass" - more about that on my Discord and Newsletter cause I don't want to make this a long read 😉

See you!Stefan
