The “Chamber of Secrets” chapter always freaked me out because just imagine being 12 and realising that there’s a GIANT VENOMOUS SNAKE THAT CAN KILL YOU BY JUST LOOKING INTO YOUR EYES that’s been slithering in the school walls THE WHOLE YEAR. The realisation that they could’ve died so many times this year was truly terrifying to me as a child (still is). Especially considering Hermione got this 🤏 close to dying if she didn’t realise the monster was a Basilisk and brought a mirror with her.

You learning who plays Lockhart during listening to these chapters was amusing timing on your part; they recently announced that he's also been cast as Lockhart in the Harry Potter HBO Series. I hope he can look the part too, but damn his voice in these audio books is incredible for Lockhart.

I'm excited for us to finish off this book soon. I enjoy the first two, but they are similar enough to their movie versions that you've mostly gained a bit of insight or context (and I'm loving your reactions!)... whereas the third onwards is a much wider story, with tons of new stuff and characters for you to discover. That, and the third book is still considered one of many people's favourite HP book. We're almost there :D
