This is one of those challenging personal cartoons with hidden context, that was incredibly difficult for me to create/share.

Although I believe the raw emotion here is easily read, it's nevertheless frightening to post works like this, as being misunderstood is one of my least favorite things.

Which is. Interesting. When you speak in riddles?

Anyway. It's the backlash I'm most afraid of when telling my truths, because it is inevitable and always violent.

Thanks for reading!

Oof, I definitely feel that. It's a wonderful depiction of big anxiety feelings 💜

BONUS CONTENT: I'm angrily reporting that this is technically an unfinished cartoon because I failed to include the flyaway hairs around my face. I suppose I can re-post with added context—but—I'm not gonna hehe ^_^ What I will say—however—is that this cartoon was drawn 2/15/25 and I burst into sobs as I drew it, and continued crying until it was finished. And a good 70% of those tears are owed to the artist Beverly Glenn Copeland and their song "Color of Anyhow" which you can listen to HERE: https://youtu.be/KCGaiOBlWNo?si=92ArfYuLBGVv0wrn Thanks for reading MORE <3 -J PS No seriously. I'm pissed that I have to go back into this. Not pleased.
