I'm really hoping these don't look as wonky on your screen as they do on mine right now. Something amazing happened last night. I've been languishing on my ATW Tarot project since February 2nd because I was completely disappointed by the 2nd card I designed. Just stopped me dead in my tracks.

So. I had a nightmare last night where I got to meet one of my professional wrestling idols, and he had a tantrum and slammed a door in my face because my ATW concept was "too gay."

I woke up in a sweat and (after much tossing and turning) had an epiphany: that I'd been "playing it safe" making art that "Wrestling Fans" could respect/appreciate.

...And if I care about how they respond, if I tailor my work to meet their approval? then I've already lost my cause. Because ATW is not gay. ATW is specifically—VERY GAY—and it's not for Straight Wrestling Fans™. It's for The Beloved Queer Community. And I don't give a **** if old school rasslin' bros likes it or not.

Needless to say I'm much happier with the update, and all subsequent ATW Wrestlers will dance off the pages because they are dancers. So there.

Shoutout to Phoenyx who joined as a free member! <3

Lovely! Are you planning on selling a functional tarot deck once your done with all the designs?

J

100% yes <3 I'm thinking of adding Queer and Geographical flags to the decks to make it that much more (potentially) educational.

J

I'm excited to just turn the Gay Volume all the way up until the nob breaks.
