Business Plan 2017/2018 (Patreon)

Overall goal of this year is to make roughly $600 per month.

Big chunk is going to rent.

My wife and sugar momma intends on paying for everything else but I’d like to pull my weight besides doing laundry, cooking, and providing rides. This business plan will help me to focus on the four goals that I think will be best.

Months have been defined for general focus but planners and wall calendars must be used effectively in order to schedule tasks. Otherwise you’ll spend every week cleaning the house instead of working.

GOAL 1: Freelance commission for online clients

Freelance art has the potential of being relatively quick and fun, especially if I get to draw dragons and cool stuff. (November)

1. Research online spaces where commissions are more common place (less deviantart/tumblr and more Role Playing and FanArt communities)

2. Create presence in those spaces with new artworks

3. Put up some designs on RedBubble!

4. Erotic/pornographic art can be done, but for much more money.

5. Listen to podcasts about freelance art

Goal 2: Crafts

If I can make a decent chunk of change in a craft show circa 2012 then I can definitely do it again. (December)

1. Rub shoulders with more local crafts folk - get to know the upcoming events

2. Build up inventory of pins, doll pegs, earrings, and nesting dolls.

3. Learn how to make/enchant wands.

4. Put up inventory on Etsy - see what happens.

5. Finishing freelance book in November will prepare you for the details of this.

Goal 3: Personal Projects

Doing personal works will help provide some balance and fun, but more specifically I believe I can continue to grow my following with original art (January)

1. Quick NBNerdyFeels should go out on Mondays (Sundays for Patrons)

2. Emily in Space to be taken seriously

   1. Don’t be afraid to get erotic. Trans people are erotic.

   2. Don’t be afraid to focus on humor. Trans people are funny.

   3. Overall storyline should be entertaining, not grim.

3) Entire story/plot of Em in space to be outlined prior to creation of comic.

4) Use TJ and Amal as guide, considering Em in Space is going to be in Black and White.

Goal 4: Community Projects

Try to give back to community either in identifying and helping local advocates/educators with artwork or creating your own educational projects. (February)

1. Maintain communication with Central Library staff for potential events (paid or unpaid)

2. Continue working with Teena Fitzroy, help out as best as you can. Trading information might work to your advantage.

3. Approach following people for possible contacts: (redacted for privacy of individuals) 

4. Consider doing talks at schools - approach dad on advice about that.
