So the good news is my dad was kind enough to lend me his dremel. Said he'd hardly used it over the years so this is an "indefinite" loan. Trouble is to use the flex shaft I have to have the dremel plugged in from above. This isn't really a problem if I want to use it in the basement, except for the fact that the basement is also where I varnish pieces. Dremels churn out a lot of sawdust - one of the reasons why I no longer use them near my computer. But with varnishing you also don't want things to get too dusty. I'll figure it out...

I'm working on commissions this week, here's the latest one a customized family christmas card:

I'm gonna be working on more portraits this week for OnCell but to my horror I couldn't find the original files on my computer. They're just gone, along with my other original PSD files for previous commissions - including Teena Fitzroy's "Unstoppable Bike" PSDs.

I have no idea how this could have happened. Me accidentally trashing the OnCell portraits (they were hanging out on the desktop) is one thing but I know the other files were in a separate commission folder.

I've backed up all the remaining files on another hard drive (that's two backups now) but I still just don't get what could have happened...
