So the good news is that I'm seeing an orthopedic doctor today about my hand. Originally they said there were no appointments until April but they were nice and found someone who could see me today.Furthermore the things I've been doing to rest my hand appear to be working - my hand was throbbing on Monday the 12th, now there are long stretches where it doesn't ache at all.
The bad news is I've been advised not to push it with my drawing until I get the OK. Which is unfortunate as I have five people that were interested in a commission. I hope that number doesn't drop by the time I've recovered.
After a week of rest I was anxious to get back to work, and I'm determined to do just that. But it seems instead of drawing I'll be looking up information on Kickstarters and making plans for my Website redesign.
I think I say this every year but I'd really like to get my website updated. Print a book. And attend a con (even if it's just as a visitor).
I always put off the book because I figure I should make a REALLY good comic first. But the fact is I totally have enough comics on Trans issues to make a collection.
I just need to do it. Kickstart it. Sell it.
And the silver lining is if I can't draw I may be able to focus more on this task than before.
