Taking Today Off! (Patreon)

Happy Friday, lovelies!

As the title suggests I am taking today off so this will (hopefully) be the last time today I'll be typing on my keyboard.

Right now my hand and wrist are in a lot of pain. I've been pushing myself very hard at finishing art for the book, commissions, and establishing a presence in other gallery spaces.

The good news is staggering though. Last night I opened up an email that read:

"It is my distinct pleasure to inform you on behalf of the Cartoon Art  Museum, QCE, Comic-Con International and Prism Comics that because of  the work/s you submitted the comic/s you created or published have been  nominated by the panel of judges. You are now a Finalist for the 2018 Prism Awards!"

They've asked me to attend Comic-Con (the Comic Con, in San Diego) for the event. I am still processing it.

I'm not to make an announcement until the press release is out - so this is between you and me. This is a major honor, simply being a finalist is enough to jot down on my resume! Having seen whom I'm up against I have no doubt that I won't receive the award. Nevertheless I feel nothing but extreme gratitude.

...now I have to decide if I want to go enough to leave the family vacation in Cape Cod to spend one full day in San Diego. If I decide to go I need to buy tickets ASAP and hopefully raise the money in two weeks O_O
