Content Warning: Negative/Difficult Feelings

It is March which means I am going through the absolute peak of my Seasonal Affective Disorder turmoil. Typically in the face of these kinds of things I have a number of tricks up my sleeve to fight off my Depression but March is just really rough.

The majority of people go through SADs in December, some it's August or September. For me it's March (or as Rochesterians know it "February Part 2."

Normally I'd be somewhat consoled by the amount of friends going through the same thing but when everyone is moaning into the internet all at once it's hard to escape the negativity.

...that fact that I'm a bit of a news/current events junky is not helping.

ALSO? I've got three people avoiding me right now that I genuinely need to hear back from and I don't know what to do about it. Two of them owe me money and I'm behind on rent. It is so frustrating to see them post dozens of times per day on their various social media accounts.

I don't know what to do to beyond what I'm already doing.
Guess I'll just join the others an moan into corners nobody frequents.

BETTER FEELS:

I finished Bill Bryson's "A Walk in the Woods" and I'm kinda bummed since I loved this book. It was a real page-turner for me and I highly recommend it. Not something I thought I'd enjoy but I loved it.

My one critique is that Bryson can be crotchety and mean. Apparently this tendency developed moreso in his later works, which I didn't find at all surprising. He's an angry white dad - so be prepared to stumble over people being described as bitches, morons, and idiots. Sometimes it's comedic and OK but other times it leaves a bad taste - but luckily it was pretty infrequent.

I'm right with you on the SAD issue. If I could hibernate, I would. Also I recommend "The Sunburnt Country" by Bryson - his hilarious travelogue of Australia, as only he could recount.

I want to read it IMMEDIATELY. I'm kicking myself because I was at the library and didn't think to pick up a copy.
