New Project & Perspective - Day 2 (Patreon)
Content
Boring stuff first - today's 10 pages yielded some a new vocabulary word: "diminution." Overlap, foreshortening, and to some degree "atmospheric perspective" I already had some grasp of. I'll be honest, the reading was a bit dull today.
I'm thinking of reading 20 pages tomorrow instead of 10 but I'll make that call when I get there. There was a brief but nevertheless racist depiction of South American indigenous tribes folk I didn't appreciate.
I'm about to go for a walk, and I intend to take my recently painted Justin and Alex doll pegs with me so I can take another photo of us on a mystical journey! hehe ^_^
Yesterday I unveiled my first shots on Instagram but what my followers don't know is that this is only the beginning.
I've been wanting to make new comics for a while now, using an even simpler style. I'm hoping by reducing the detail in the face/body of characters it'll give me greater freedom to explore background, setting, and a whole new kind of writing.
All of my comics until now have been written very deliberately. No run on sentences. No paragraphs. Short, sweet, to the point. I've never allowed myself much more than that and I've reached the point where I'm silencing my own voice.
There are things I want to talk about, gosh darn it!
