ATW Roster Reveal: "LADY" (Patreon)

History time!

Nancy Elizabeth Toffoloni as "Fallen Angel" made her in-ring debut on June 30 1984, for Florida Championship Wrestling.

Over the course of her career her popularity grew, and grew, peaking in the mid 90's when she performed simply as "Woman," a Wrestling Valet.

...That her name was just "Woman" speaks to the culture of Wrestling.

Wrestling Valets—unlike managers—had fewer responsibilities but were nonetheless quite important. An accomplished Valet such as Nancy could sell tickets and take bumps with equal (if not more) success as any manager. Their task was to make Wrestlers appear powerful, by being enticing arm candy. This could also generate "heat" by proxy of seering envy. Sounds simple enough, but Nancy would've been in charge of her own wardrobe, hair, makeup, movement, poses, all of it. She was a brilliant performer and universally regarded in "The Business" as phenomenal, kind, and a groundbreaking talent.

...She was murdered by her husband Chris Benoit, a Professional Wrestler.

Elagabalus was a Transgender Syrian (the region/country would've had a different name at the time) Priestess who—against all odd—became a damn "Emperor" of Rome!

She did not give a FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCKKKKKKK about the Patriarchal Roman Elite/Establishment and quickly began ruffling feathers the second she was put in power. Among her many accomplishments during her short reign was establishing Rome's first Women's Senate. She LOVED sex workers, artists, and athletes.

She took on numerous lovers but—you guessed it—famously dated a Wrestler.

...She was murdered by Roman chauvenists.

AND SO...

In honor of Nancy Toffoloni and Empress Elagabalus, ATW's premiere Valet is "LADY" the offspring of both women.

She will never die. Never.

I've attached her ring music as an MP3 within this post.
