FIRST OFF: Big Holiday Shoutout to Alixe and Rachel 

I'm leaving out much detail as this ain't my story to tell.  Here be the cliff-notes:

—  Alex's brother "Renny" required emergency medical attention during Alex's final week of Grad School.  His care fell squarely on Alex's shoulders.

—  Renny was diagnosed with Lupus.  We've been looking after him since, two weeks now.

—  Initial treatment has gone well, but is ongoing with many twists and turns.  A diagnosis of this magnitude requires a complete lifestyle change. 

GOOD NEWS:

The good news is—with the help of social workers—we got Alex's family COMPLETELY  covered through Medicaid/Charity Care.  Nobody is paying for nothing.  Whew!

ALSO

Alex got 10/10 perfect scores her final semester, and graduated with 3.9 GPA.

ALSO

We've been crying a lot and could use a damn break but we'll get two days to ourselves starting tomorrow.
