My first Kickstarter campaign I received 0 backers for my $1 and $5 reward tiers. Even though (in my opinion) they were super cute tiers.

For our 2021 campaign I originally thought of THESE 1$ and 5$ cuties:

Turns out I should've let the Shark and Octopus live.

I will—because I have no damn choice—let the cooler head prevail but (in my opinion) I wasn't the one who dropped the ball here. When I submitted my project for review in May Kickstarter told me to expect 2-5 business days to lapse before hearing back.

It was instantaneously approved. Obviously nobody on their end checked, and it's ridiculous that it took them 30 days to notify me of this error.

Furthermore this raffle is for local students, so anyone (and there was no one) who backed this tier would've known not to expect a prize.
