SO.  MANY.  FEELINGS.

I've been closeted for 28 years and some change - and a great bulk of that time was spent in confusion, in denial, in fear. I still have those feelings, but they are out of the closet!

Coming out is something I get asked about quite a bit and while I'd love to make a quick comic about it? it's impossible. Has to be a graphic novel.

There's an infamous line (for me) in "Suicide" where I wrote "There is a lot I chose not to put in this comic!" This sentence sums up the entire comic for me. I wish I could leave it at "you have no idea..." but it's as I said -  has to be a graphic novel. Hope everyone is patient with me until that day comes.

Frankly the celebration of my life on the other side is bittersweet. I'm enjoying a taste that many never get the opportunity to know. I say this not to brag, or as a self-hating queer, but out of rage.

We shouldn't have to declare that which doesn't matter.

Or - if we must - then ALL of us should.

It IS a relief to finally close this chapter. It is thus that I step forward with greater resolve for those still inside, and those taken from us.

Thank you everyone who's been there for me and continues to be - especially my wife who's seen the best/worst of this process and never left my side.

PS - - Attached is a movie of me making this graphic. I literally had to take a frown and turn it upside down.
