Speaking of 800! The Sovereign Guard make up an elite regiment approximately 800 strong give or take.

That may seem like a large amount but—by orc standards—they are dwarfed in number by the overall horde.  

Becoming a Sovereign Guard is not easy.  Each and every one of the guards must earn the reputation of being capable of taking down opponents much larger than themselves; such as trolls, giants, wyrms, even (rarely) demons. 

"I wanted cute uniforms so I outfitted them with tiny bucklers and skull caps, and Ogre Boar Hides.  They all hate the helmets."

A Sovereign Guard—can in fact—smell the difference between Trans and Cis.  The mentality of a Sovereign Guard is somewhere between a Newfoundland Dog and a mother Hippopotamus.  They are trained to surround and escort their charges, and attack without thinking at the slightest provocation.  It is therefore paramount to be as respectful as possible when in the presence of Trans kids and the accompanying guard.
