Did some updating!  Here's the original "Trauma Therapy #14"

And here it is now:

Dear Patrons,

I have already begun my next intensive program.  I'm about two weeks into it, and I have no intention at this time to illustrate my process.

The "exposure therapy" side of drawing and showing off my progress has been wonderful.  It's also been painful, scary, triggering, and even a bit oppressive at times.  The thought of "keeping this round to myself" feels very tasty to me.

And who would I be?  If I didn't feel torn about it?

I'm worried it'll let my readers down.  Furthermore, I wouldn't have kept going if the practice wasn't helpful for me too.  Hands down the best part of it was hearing from all the people who could relate, or were helped by the art.  So?  Why wouldn't I keep going?

I don't have the answers right now.  All I can say is "The Big One" will be—hands down—the most difficult Trauma Work I ever do.  Right now I just want to convey "the win" of having completed a (two years???) program.

Gah.  GAH!

I'd love to know your thoughts.

I enjoy seeing your art about it and can relate to it, but it's such a personal and like you said, vulnerable thing that I'm also happy if you keep it to yourself. And you can always change you mind someday and do art about it if you want! I'm just super happy for you that you're taking care of yourself so well and I don't feel let down at all!

I think I'm going to listen to, and trust myself here. That feels very new. So naturally I question it. But I believe that's what I want. So I'm leaning in. Thank you so much for all your kind words and support through this. You have been steady steady steady steady. What a blessing! <3
