I voted Misery (1990). Kathy Bates won Oscar Best Actress and Golden Globe Best Actress. Donnie Darko (2001) [IMDb=8.0] is good. Set in 1988. A young Jake Gyllenhaal. A wild, mesmerizing, jarring movie. Let the Right One In (2008) is awesome. --"Sinister but gorgeous and compelling." --"Exquisitely crafted."

I voted for Misery too! Such an incredible movie. Kathy Bates is incomparable in that role! But looks like we got Saw instead. It's a very popular movie, that's for sure, but it's a bit too much...well, I won't say anything in case of spoilers. Let's just say it's not my cup of tea. I'll keep hoping for Misery. 🤞🏻😊

Hard to believe that a mediocre movie like Saw (2004) won the poll. I guess I am incongruent with the voting plurality here.
