Mike and Gus both hate Hector, and that makes them allies. Remember in season 4 breaking bad, when after Gus killed Victor, Walt tried to get Mike to help him kill Gus? Mike punched Walt. It was very foolish for Walt to ask Mike that. At that point in Breaking Bad, all we really knew about Mike, was that he was a former cop and he dotes on his granddaughter, and Walt knows nothing about Mike and Gus relationship. Hector is finding out someone is after him, but he thinks it is a competitor, possibly Gus. As Nacho told Mike, Hector had forgotten all about Mike and thinks the "chicken man" is responsible, making Hector boiling mad. Interesting times!
