Rip Rita. This best season . For the worst reasons . Dexter will have that Buffy Season 6 energy now. Dexter plays with his food . An his enemys gets the upper hand on him . The depression Buffy went through. Dexter fist to finally feel the emotion he says he doesn't have. I respect the writers decision not to show it happening out of respect for the character. Fans would have been outraged by that .

I've been waiting for this moment since you started this series. It's why I signed up to your Patreon. I'm sorry it was painful, but that pain is why this is one of the best seasons and twists in television history. It's the reason this series is in the same league as Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones. I hope that after you have some time to process this and feel better, you'll be able to appreciate the poetry in this tragedy. If you watch the season again, you will see that everything was hinting towards this kind of ending. It was inevitable.

I felt the same way, I was so angry and sad I almost stopped watching the whole show, even still when I rewatch I skip last episodes of season 4 and first episodes season 5 cause I don’t wanna feel any of that. Rewatching the show takes on a different light after knowing what happens to Rita. I don’t wanna say much to not spoil anything. I don’t think any show right now would have the guts to do what they did, no way. Which proves what I always say, TV has been on a decline since at least 2012, and movies.
