Paulie's real mom should have just taken the truth to the grave. Its kinda shitty to drop something like that on your death bed. especially since paulie and Nucci Gualtieri had a great relationship.

Jimmy Hoffa was an American labour union leader who vanished in 1975. He apparently told others he was going to meet with two Mafia leaders, one of whom he had been close to. I guess the doctor joked that Tony ate him? So he found Hoffa while operating Tony. --- "Sometimes I go about in pity for myself, and all the while, a great wind carries me across the sky." This episode was focused around the saying. With everyone talking about (pitying) themselves, Tony talking to the scientist and about the bigger picture, and the ending with all the wind. Tony seemed to be really affected by the saying (and his coma experience obviously). Something did change in him. We'll see how long it lasts. I think you're definitely right in saying that he always dismisses others suffering but this time he might have been genuinely thinking about the bigger picture (just as in the saying). Especially with his line of "there's enough garbage for everyone".
