Yeah, Cabin in the Woods paid homage to several horror classics. It also made sense in the story. You know with the whole cult sacrificing teens via manufactured settings thing. Lol, the tree doing "that" was certainly a choice. I had the same reaction as you the first time I watched it! It was also very funny seeing you become so frustrated with the characters' actions. I think we all do that. :D Btw, do you have a horror movie that genuinely scared or creeped you out and/or stayed with you? From your various movie reactions, I don't remember seeing (or hearing about) anything like that. But maybe I missed it.

Hey sorry I never responded to this but I'm about to post it on YouTube so I re-read your comment while grabbing the link. I do have a few movies that REALLY scared me as a kid : Silent Hill (2006), Dead Silence (2007) , An American Haunting (2005) , White Noise (2005) and of course The Ring was a big one too! Mostly movies I watched when I was little :)
