This episode is a mile stone. The solid thing about this show is that nothing is romanticize or cheesy. The writers always answer to the question “how this would play in reality?” For instance the difference in reaction, between Elena and Bella in Twilights, it is the very thing that make TVD appreciator think that Twilight is mediocre and cringing compared to TVD that is believable, well written and the characters are acting in a more realistic way. You got one important thing very right, what is Damon version of events if he said that he doubt that Elena got the full story? Why Damon promise to Stefan an eternity of misery? What happen to the Salvatore brothers best friends? We saw here that Damon’s threats to his brother are more talk than real; he could have killed him many times in all those years and never did. Also when his brother was in danger to be killed, he rushed to save him because nobody can kill him but him. 😁 The party scene with Damon dancing on the ledge, became one the most iconic thing in the show. Ian couldn't go anywhere for years without having screaming fans asking him to do the Damon dance. The whole scene was so brilliantly entretaining and funny; the trashing of Stefan's bedroom and the end was hilarious. Pure writing genius. By the way the songs in this show are used as voice over, to tell you things, like the one at the end describing how Stefan and Elena wanted to start a new life and everything just crushed down. The flashbacks are fantastic. Nothing in this show will go unanswered, everything will be revealed bit by bit. This show is a huge puzzle, and the writers will give you every episode a little piece of the puzzle to put together and only at the last episode you will be able to have the whole picture. That is why people rewatch the show many times, because with all the information you have about the brothers their life, their motivations, their psychological history,(and they are a lot) it’s another show. And that is why TVD is special.

For instance...what Bonnie says to Elena concerning what Damon said to Caroline about Stefan.... He filled her head with all these lies until finally it worked, and she turned against Damon.
