The episodes name is the last day I guess u put it up as Klaus 😁 Anyways I’m so excited for the last 2 episodes it’s a crazy end to this season ur gonna love it.

Also Tyler bit Damon while he was turning remember Damon fought him as he was turning Damon was trying to save Caroline and Matt from him and he got bit while Tyler was turning so yeah Tyler bit Damon and it happens faster the more u turn so now it’s happening faster for Tyler. Regarding Damon feeding Elena I’m with Damon on this he is trying to save her after all yes taking her choice away is wrong I’m not saying that but if I see from his perspective I totally understand why he did that not defending him cause of his past etc but I feel at that point this was the only option he could see to save her and he took it. He can’t loose her he doesn’t want to Damon will go to any lengths to save the ppl he cares about and I like that side to him I guess many ppl would do that in real life too to save their loved ones that’s why I connect to him so much because Damon is very human this is what most people would do. And honestly I wouldn’t depend on that elixir that Elijah got I’m not saying he’s at fault but I wouldn’t trust it to work and if it doesn’t she will definitely die that’s what Damon was saying he isn’t to take this risk and it’s a huge risk so by giving her vampire blood atleast they/ he knows that she will come back. Yes it sounds selfish but he is doing all he can to save her damon also saved Caroline and Tyler actually whr in No1 else even gave a fuck to see who the other werewolf would be if it wasn’t for Damon they would be dead. And he doesn’t even mind dying for it he’s so confident against klaus which I love to see so yeah for me I really liked to see what Damon does here his commitment to anything is strong and he will do it and even pay the consequences for it.

Feel really bad for Elena though she clearly doesn’t wana be a vampire so vl see whr this goes.

I like that side of him too and I totally understand why he did it! everything you just said is true! I guess the only thing I didn't like is that he forced it on her, it probably was indeed the only way he saw would work cause if he asked her gently and explained this as an other option she wouldn't have accepted but it still disturbed me a little bit

and OMG THAT'S RIGHT! it happened so fast I didn't even notice Tyler bit him for realsies! now it makes sense

I agree with Andrea on Damon controversial choice. I imagine myself in his same position seen the love of my life being put in a position where there is a chance to die. Wouldn't you risk anything to make sure that your love doesn't even at the risk to be hated? It was un impulsive choice that he regretted, made out of pressure for time and aslo out of the fact that when downstairs Damon asked "what if it (the Elixir) doesn't work? "Elena answered "Then I will be dead" Damon looks at Stefan in disbelieve and Stefan just shrug his shoulders 🤷‍♂️. So Elijah will go agaist his own brother and Damon doesn't trust him, Elena isn't afraid of dying, Stefan shruged his shoulders, so obviously at that point Damon take matters in his hand. Yep Tyler bit him, it was a little nip, but still it was enogh to get werewolf venom into his system....I want just to remind you that in this show nobody is safe.

Stefan and Elena. The scene between them is important. It is very sweet of him trying to make her feel better about the lack of choice she had in the matter of becoming a vampire and on what this meens to her and to them. Two things very important came out from that conversation, one is that Elena don't want to be a vampire, two is that Stefan though about been with her for eternity, and has tought about that too, but contrary to Stefan she doesn't see a future with him, the feelings she has for him are not strong enough for her to conteplate to giving up growing older, have a family and have children. And that to me was eye opening.

Whistles....Damon did force the blood on her, in the desire to save her life and to protect her from being sacrificed. Since he couldn't figure out any other way of doing it and a desire to see her live especially due to her young age. It's the whole rat trapped in a corner. It once again comes back to Elena's insight about Damon and love from season 1, that every move he's made was done out love. We see Damon in this episode go through extreme measures and lengths to first save the woman he loves, then realizing his mistake, also trying his best to correct that mistake by rescuing both Caroline and Tyler from being sacrificed. Damon's impulse gets the better of him, like he stated before in the season, I wasn't thinking Elena when he got Katherine all riled up.

A point many seem to forget as well during this deep discussion. That she honestly doesn't see a future with him, and who would at 17 years old actually, and really only being together for about 4 months, with two break ups taking place in that time.

I understand all of this yes, and I'm not mad at it he did what he thought was right and it was for love, but the way I see it if it was only her wanting to sacrifice herself and then Damon feed her by force a special antidote that would save her instantly without becoming a vampire then we wouldn't even be having this discussion, it's the fact that he didn't take into account that yes it would save her but also turn her into something she didn't want to be.. I think that was more where my issue was but in the end the simple fact that he regretted it shows that he understand he acted impulsively out of emotions and it's not always the best way to react but it is our Damon and it is sweet how he would do anything for Elena

Elena is not like a normal seventeen years old girl, becuase the way she was brought up, she was already far more mature than an ordinary girl of her age, plus she went through hell and back, with everything she went through, that would make anybody grow up much faster. With everything mention and the realization she is a supernatural creature in need to be protected, you would espect from her to latch on to Stefan love much more deeply, to be dependent from him and to see him as the only possible and logical love choice, she has in her life, but she doesn't. There is something that hold her back, and is not her lack of maturity, the love she has for Stefan is not strong enough, the feelings she feels are not as strong as they should be, should he be her true love.

His impulsive action was due to all those elements combined togeter, Elena and Stefan being uneffected by the possiblity for her to die, the fact they didn't have time to find another solution, te fact that Elijah is an original and Klaus is his brother that makes Damon not trusting him in his resolution, the fact that the elixir was 500 year old and not even Elijah could garantee that would work. All of this made Damon use impulsivally the only possible solution that would garantee for sure Elena's survival.

Keith Engel

Finished watching the reaction, my comments earlier were just in response. Your comments at the end, well, all I can do is whistle and bite my tongue... As far as Damon goes, well, think of Spike with the Buffy Bot...or even the worse moment he did in that show. Damon goes through growth moments, he feels more real in these regards though in that as we see him progress, he still has issues, something we all go through.

Keith Engel

I hear you there concerning her maturity level as well as feelings aspect. Perhaps I didn't word that correctly in terms of actual life experience though still when it comes these matters, not lack of maturity when commenting about her age. I mean seventeen is still seventeen no matter how mature you are at that age. Lord knows I felt I was very mature at that age, but I was still lacking in certain life experiences that knowledge of experiences only get you so far in until you are placed in the situations. It's like the one we are discussing with Elena right now about what it would mean for her to become vampire with Stefan. There is theory, then there is the reality. I hope that makes sense.

Patpet
>>62167030

I understant what you meen perfectly, but even with her limited life exprience you would expect from her that in those circumstance, in her dreems of seventeen years old girl, she would envision herself with Stefan, since a normal boy like Matt wasn't what she wanted. So my suprise when I first saw this scene, about her conversation with Stefan, here was that Stefan as Matt is not what she automatically sees when she dreams about her future and a family and chilren feels like she uses as an excuse not to hurt him, because in her dreams of a seventeen years old girl in love when she dreams about her future it is heavily implyed that Stefan is not in it.

Keith Engel

Well, I'll have to refrain from commenting fully, yet the show does a really good job at even foreshadowing that what you bring up about Matt and Stefan. One of the matters during my most recent rewatch is noticing the use of Light and Shadow and it's symbolism. Elena means light, Salvatore Savior. So there is a lot being done at times with that.
