I just came across your reactions a few weeks ago and I've been bingeing to catch up so I could watch this one new..I love it 😄 some ppl say they knew or suspected but I was shocked when I found out. Love your reactions Also the title is a nod to a movie Airplane, it's a funny exchange. One guy says "'surely' you can't be serious?" and the other guy replies 'I am, and don't call me 'Shirley' lol. And Chucks last name is Shirley

Fabulous reaction! This episode is really amazing! And you're right, it's 100% dialogue DENSE. We find out a lot. I definitely remember thinking there was something more going on with Chuck when he just whooshed away at the end of S5. And then when he popped back up mysteriously in S10 in Fan Fiction. But I expected it to have to do with him as a prophet, not him as God. I was VERY surprised! Can I say how crappy it was of people to spoil you on YouTube by hinting at Chuck being God. I'm very glad you kind of forgot about it and moved on. But that was crappy of them. I love what you said, that Sam and Dean have done more for humanity than Chuck ever has (yes, except creation. 🙄 pfft! whatever! 😁) But it really is true. He gave up on humanity cause they "disappointed" him, but Sam and Dean never give up, no matter how downtrodden they are by the world. Which again, is why I can't fault them for saving each other. It's the only thing they have to keep them going. And they've sacrificed so much of everything else to save the world, certainly more than Chuck has. The end of this episode when Chuck starts singing and the boys find the Samulet again after all this time and their faces as they see everything has been put right, and then see Chuck standing there, it always brings a tear to my eye. It's Rob's voice that does me in, I think - it's so raw and emotional and beautiful. Anyway, loved your reaction to this awesome episode, can't wait to go through the end of the season with you. 😊

Top 10 supernatural episode for me so far . I had a friend tell me . I was like It makes since. He was writing the life story of everybody. Sounds like creation to me .

That song at the end super big episode definitely not a monster of the week . Your reaction was good . We're you disappointed he was God?

Tjbosslyfe

Funny part is I was like. He kind of too scary to be God. But in this episode him saying he was acting made it even more of a cool moment.

The first time we meet Chuck in episode 4x18 he says, "Obviously I'm a God." Sam replies, "You're not a god" Chuck says, "How else do you explain it? I write things and then they come to life. Yeah no I'm definitely a god. A cruel cruel capricious god. The things I put you through."

Great episode. I love rob benedict, and I love the song at the end that he is singing. Metatron is really good in this episode. Not 100% redeemable, but better than he''s been since his introduction. I do agree with you, Evie, in that Jensen Ackles, is god''s greatest creation.

Mr. Botany

I love the throwaway line about Chuck's other book "Revolution" because thats another Erik Kripke show that unfortunately was cancelled 2 years before this episode aired and that leads us to the implication that Kripke is God which is kind of what metatron was saying when he talked about the power of stories the episode we met him. Revolution is also a great show that is on the list to be selected for you at some point

infamous hvher

His last name isnt Shirley it's Shurley

Tjbosslyfe

An chuck said he kept putting Cas back together. And dead kept dying and comming back to life . I'm assuming that was God helping them .

Tjbosslyfe

If God could make there life easy we wouldn't have a show . They characters strong because of all the lost .

Oh man, the whole rest of this season and the premiere of season twelve are going to be EPIC. I cant wait to see your reactions.
