Yet another palette gradient in these panels (I just really like doing these), from the red/orange of the office, then pink/purple on the train, and finally blue in Miles' bedroom. Which I just now realize I haven't drawn since forever.

I thought I'd use silent panels to show snapshots of the rest of the day along with a conversation between Miles and his friends to convey that feeling that the day is ruined and Miles is just going through the motions while chatting on and off about how fucked things are, if you've had one of those days you know the numbness that comes with it.

For the messages, I tried different color combinations keeping in mind 1) that they stick within that red to blue chromatic scale to not make the overall palette of the page too busy, 2) that they nevertheless do have to stick out for legibility, and 3) that the author of the message has to be easily identified. I also added these little bubbles with Teo and Clyde's profile pictures, it creates less visual clutter than their names and it also shows a bit of their personalities. I'm attaching these pfps in better quality (I didn't render them all the way since I just needed the part that fits inside of a circle).
