I expect this page might be a little controversial considering the response page 18 got (that's the one with Boomer and Miles in the Uber ride back home). I'm not interested in being didactic regarding which character is in the right in this situation, or whether Boomer's response to Miles hiding something from him is appropriate, and more in presenting interesting characters with their own internal logic, personal histories and emotional baggage.

I did my best to have Boomer come off as confrontational but not aggressive here; however, this is ultimately the reaction that makes sense to me for a character whose previous relationship ended in adultery. He's a bit touchy with the prospect of his partner hiding things from him. The point is that it moves the story forward and informs the characters, not pontificating about what the healthiest approach in these matters is.

It makes so much sense for boomer to react that way tbh

Yeah, I think both their reactions are in character. I hadn’t even considered that Boomer being cheated on would naturally make him dubious about any secrets. It will be interesting to see how this conflict plans with what’s going on in Xavier‘s head.

i already figured that boomer would naturally be on edge over any possible unfaithfulness given his past experience with Karen and how much more romantically involved he is with miles...😬
