WIP Animation #52 - 4K-Resolution-Test (Patreon)

 Probably not the most interesting WIP, since it shows only content from the preview. Except one small part, based on Feedback from patron Locofuta. 😏

The main reason for this WIP is to test 4K-Resolution. I just watched it on a 4K-TV and I have to admit, that the quality boost is at least for me really noticable. But who actually watches this kind of content on his/her living room-TV? 😄  

Also I have to check out different codecs. If 40seconds already need around 1gb of space, this could be a problem for the full movie.  Let me know what you think and if the higher resolution is a plus for you or not really noticable.

Honestly I’d aim for 2K 60fps to save some space, but whatever you choose I can’t wait! c: (I watch most of your content on my iPhone XS Max and iMac so 4K probably doesn’t matter to me lol)

It definitely looks amazing. Speaking personally, I don't mind having slightly lower res honestly. Uber high quality isn't what I really need, and your 720p work is just awesome for me. The detail on your lighting and shading are excellent though, and the characters look really good. Especially Ciri.

I watch my nsfw content on a 55inch 4k oled tv! I think 4k would be much appreciated by some of your followers who can take advantage of the extra detail. As for codecs might I suggest using the h.265(hevc) wrapped in a mkv container.

2026-09-06 23:00 ETA on release? Also maybe release the lower resolution renders first before the 4k one, as you said most people will be watching on a 1k/2k desktop or mobile phone, so they wont even notice the difference

I do see a difference on my surface (with an about 3k screen). And if you release a 4k@60Hz version, I'll happily watch it. However, I'd still be very happy with a 1080p version if there's no 4k. I mean, 4k is a plus, but I'm not sure it is worth all the problems. As for codex, as most 4k devices are able to decode it, you should probably use h265, which has a similar quality than h264 at half the bitrate. In case you don't find a software to encode in h265, search for "handbrake".

If you want to do a 4k release, than go for it. However, I strongly agree with what some others have said on here in that a 1080p should be released first. I use a cell phone for this stuff. And even though my s9+ comes with 64GB of storage, I dont want to use most of it for one video. 1080p looks awsome enough, so I'm gonna say no to a 4k release. But like I said, if you really want to put in the time and effort, then go for it

Being a 1080p guy, I'm indifferent to the resolution. However, I am liking the gradual progression of the change you made. A little part of me was expecting a balloon animal penis.

Finde Deine Videos einfach super. Dagegen ist alles Andere (Hetero, Lesbo, 2D-Hentai etc.) richtig langweilig. Darum unterstütze ich Dich auch seit kurzem und wenn die Qualität so bleibt auch noch lange.

I have a 2k Ultra Wide monitor, and honestly I wish you'd make at least one 4k UHD wallpaper and one vid because the quality and experience is like nothing else.
