Status update (Patreon)

It is urgent time for an update. Sorry for not getting back to you for so long.About 15 minutes of the film have been finalised and are currently being rendered every night during the time when I don't need the PC to work. I hope that I have discovered most of the glitches beforehand to save myself time-consuming re-renders. 🤞

I hope to be able to commission the last big batch of voice recordings this week. Before that, I have to work on a few more animations as drafts for the VAs.The work is not easy at the moment. Even though I am very motivated and feel like I'm covering more distance every day, the mountain doesn't seem to be getting any closer. Especially because I know that two of the most complex animations of the movie are still mostly ahead of me, where with one of them I also can't yet foresee 100% whether it will work at all (It has to work - what the authors have written for the scene is just too good!😋 ).So milestones like half of the film actually being finished (apart from post production) are very important for one's motivation. 😊Especially in moments like today, where I had to realise in the scene you can see above that I partially messed up the UV mapping when building my models. Fixing the mistake took me a good 4 hours today. 😖

UV maps define how a 2D texture is "printed" on a 3D model.

Since it's still a lot of work, I'm currently planning a release date of 31 October - Halloween.

Either way, the promise still applies that if I can't release the film in time, Patreon charges will be paused until the film is finished. I will get back to you as soon as possible. Thank you kindly for your patience. The wait will soon be over. 🤗
