The Back Log, vol. 44 - Gus' Fun Night (Patreon)

All that man needs is a glass of wine and a hockey jersey...

Another week, another Back Pocket episode and another fantastic #creative post to spotlight, this time from Jshie! Perfect for when Gus finally one day makes it onto the Bachelor...

Not much housekeeping today, but I will let you know that everyone at the Merch Pocket tier (who has completed the necessary three consecutive months) should have had their Q1 merch piece, the Pockety Poster vol. 1, sent out to them in the past couple of weeks!

THIS WEEK ON BACK POCKET

Back Pocket Tonight: The Steph Switcheroo v2
It was one Steph in for another this week, as our now four-time guest Steph Panecasio stepped into the Steph chair once more! After a Backup all about the capitalist hellscape that is Funko Fusion, we jumped into a WWBP with a true smorgasbord of games: Stellar Blade, Another Crab's Treasure, Botany Manor and Endless Ocean Luminous. The Rizz Quiz was back with some hockey-themed questions, and to really hone in on Steph's deep love of the ice sport, we rounded out the show with a Very Good Gameplay of Goons: Legends & Mayhem.

PocketBuds: The Gay One
Ruby was this week joined by Fuzzy Ghost's Pete Foley, an expert in making queer games as a queer gamer himself, to talk all about queer rep in games, and what it's like being one of the very people making those games! It's an absolute banger, and very gay. Therefore a slay.

NEXT WEEK ON BACK POCKET

I have yet to confirm this week's podcast guest (will update when I know), BUT I will let you know that we currently have the Thumb Cramps boys queued up for the main show this week! How will it work with so many boys? How much chaos will there be? Who knows - you'll have to tune in to find out...

We're also recording another Playback this week, which Gold Pocket peeps will see the uncut full record of later in the week, plus our usual Monday night stream tomorrow night. SO much to look forward to!

Your Ben update for the week is that my backlog is only getting deeper as I get further and further sucked into the world of FFXIV. Plus, for some reason I'm back into Vampire Survivors? I can just hear the cries of all the other games, as I grind out just one more new job in Final Fantasy...
