we also went over the big game releases for this month, honed super duper hard in Hone Zone (and i still stand by the fact that i DIDN'T CHEAT even though everybody INSISTS that i did), and finally rounded things out with a few rounds of Snowbrawll.

Gus also revisited Ruffy and the Riverside, Pete had a go at the No, I'm Not A Human demo, and I got a not-so-great first impression of Date Everything (but I'm gonna tough it out and keep playing, because I always like when a game can change my mind on it with a bit more play!!!).

we also discussed the recent layoffs that hit xbox staff and how fuckin gross it all is, played a new segment called Truth News Seek which gives the classic Good News Week a gaming twist, and finally looked at screens in a different way to discuss what we've been watching in On Other Screens.

Josh is playing the exact game you're thinking because he's been playing it non-stop since it came out. it's Dune. you already know.

Gus is kicking it in the classic GameCube sports game Mario Smash Football on the Switch 2, which is literally just Super Mario Strikers but for some weird reason the EU version has a different name. he's also told me that he's even ordered the switch 2's gamecube controller so he can play it with complete biblical accuracy. amen.

Pete IS playing a game this time! and i've played it with him a little bit too! he's been climbing heaps in PEAK, and although i wasn't there for it, he actually got to the peak in one game!

as for me, i've not actually been gaming a lot lately sans the game i'll be talking about on the show and getting lost in a couple of deckbuilder games on my phone (Harvest101 and Rogue Adventure, to be specific). i've got a deadline coming up for some illustrations for a cool thing i'm working on so that's been taking up a lot of my time. but when that's done, i'm keen to jump back into Date Everything! to give it another chance and FINALLY beat Deltarune Chapter 4.

anywho, sorry for the big one. getting sick really does get in the way of everything, and i freakin hate it!!!! why cant my body just be normal????

i hope you're all having a lovely week so far, and would love to know if you've seen any cool dogs lately. i've been sending oliver a million instagram reels of pomeranians in the hopes that it sways him to love them and therefore be chill with us getting one, and lemme tell ya folks: he's started also sending me reels of pomeranians. the system works. the seeds i'm planting are growing.
