The Big Post-Anniversary Breakdown! (Patreon)

What's up everyone! Last Saturday was a bit hectic, wasn't it?

I boldly thought I would be able to get an edition of The Back Log out on Monday, but we all needed a bit more time to recover from the weekend that was, and make sure we could get VODs uploaded and such. So see this as an in-between post, where I put all the juicy details from the weekend that you need to know, and then, all the links from both last week AND this week will be in The Back Log tomorrow!

So, let's get into it.

THE GOALS
Taking some learnings from last year's anniversary, we decided that this year we would try to do a balance of goals that would be completed during the stream, and goals that would manifest as content pieces later. We had these prepped up to $20,000, not because we necessarily expected to get there (in fact, we very much didn't, given the cost of living pinch), but mainly to avoid the chaos, on the spot goals of last year too. So, below I'm gonna break down which goals we achieved, and the ones in bold will be the goals that will be fulfilled in future pieces of content.

$500 - Live Shave of Peter's Beard (Half)

$1000 - Full Playthrough: Detective Pikachu Returns (Pete)

$2000 - Community Game Night: Among Us

$3000 - Extend the stream for ONE hour

$4000 - BP Tonight Special: Fantasy

$5000 - Full Cast Livestream: Baldur's Gate 3

$6000 - Full Playthrough: Super Mario Bros. Wonder (Gus)

$7000 - Community Game Night: Party Animals

$8000 - Pocket Pilot Program: Josh's Studio Tech Guide BTS Video

$9000 - Extend the stream for 30 minutes

$10000 - Full Playthrough: Spider-Man 2 (Will)

$11000 - BP Tonight Special: Horror

$12000 - Community Game Night: BattleBit

$13000 - Pocket Pilot Program: BeForty Podcast w/ Angus Ronald

$14000 - Live Shave of Peter's Beard (Other Half)

$15000 - Full Playthrough: Super Mario RPG (Ruby)

As of the end of the stream, we had raised $15,690 total! Genuinely, that is quite an incredible amount considering how expensive it is to live right now, and we're endlessly grateful for any support you can give. And a reminder, if you weren't able to support financially for any reason, or were only able to support at a small amount, we still appreciate you SO much. We hope the updated Patreon tiers from last month forward, mean that if you are able to support us in anyway, you're getting some good bang for your buck. Speaking of bang for your buck, there were also some cool goodies y'all could get for supporting us during the stream.

THE LOOT
So, what did you guys get for giving us your dollars during the stream (apart from the content above)?

For everyone who donates $50 on Streamlabs (or upgrades to the Merch Pocket tier on Patreon from ANY tier below) during the month of September, you'll receive a super cool Back Pocket 3rd Anniversary Pin, featuring Gus' awesome logo design for this year's stream! And yes, you read that right - we're keeping this going through until the end of the month, so if you weren't able to donate for whatever reason during the stream, you can still get that sweet, sweet pin, as long as you do so before the end of the month. Those who did so during the stream DID get the little bonus of also earning a wheelspin on our terrifying wheel of chaos, and well, if you watched, you know what that did to us...

But that's not all the loot we had ready themed around this anniversary! Aware that many of you would likely be upgrading to the Merch Pocket tier during the stream, we wanted you to be aware that our upcoming piece of merch for that tier will also be themed around Gus' Anniversary design. So, if you upgraded to that tier and want to get a cool Anniversary shirt, make sure to stay at that tier for two more months to get one!

PATREON'S PAYPAL ISSUES
And lastly, we're very aware Patreon had some pretty massive issues with PayPal payments over the weekend - yep, the timing couldn't have been worse. I just wanted to write a quick PSA here at the end of this post, that as long as your pledge is still paid at some point during this month, you will not miss out on any perks you are owed. This includes months towards an ad, a merch piece, AND pins. If it turns out it has messed up Patreon's internal trackers for these on the backend, I'll work it out. Don't stress! You won't be missing out on anything at all.

---

That's all for now, folks! We'll keep you updated on when all this content will happen, when pins and merch are going out, and on the final numbers at the end of the month. But for one final time, THANK YOU. Back Pocket couldn't exist without your support, and with weekends like the last, you're helping to ensure it doesn't just exist, but thrive and grow.

- Ben :)
