The Back Log, vol. 35 - Is it a Man or a Table? (Patreon)
Content
We're still trying to work it out ourselves...
There was so much to pick from in #creative this week, after being given both the fuel of Gus with an empty table, and Peter the Caring Man. But, ultimately, I had to highlight the most nighmareish of them all, which came from the mind of LordPhoenix. I sincerely hope it doesn't give you nightmares tonight, but if it is, please hold them responsible, and not me...
Once again, not too much housekeeping to be covered, so let's jump into everything you may, or may not have, missed this past week!
THIS WEEK ON BACK POCKET
Back Pocket Tonight: Quiz and Nintendo Biz ft. Natalisea
Fresh off a Nintendo Direct, we kicked off our weekly show with a break down of the latest news of what's coming to the Switch, alongside our guest for the week, Twitch streamer Natalisea! Then we had another stacked week in What We've Been Playing, as the February releases roll on, with looks at Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, Pacific Drive, Penny's Big Breakaway and Helskate. Then, the return of the Rizz Quiz, in its scariest form ever, and to wrap up the show, a look at Doggy Don't Care in Very Good Gameplay!

PocketBuds: FF7 Edition
Speaking of February releases, the biggest of them all is coming up in just a few short days! So it was high time Ruby got an expert on the much beloved game and its... extended universe... to get her educated, and this came in the form of none other than Filthy Casuals' own Ben Vernel! And boy, did the ensuing conversation break Ruby's brain, maybe forever.

NEXT WEEK ON BACK POCKET
We don't have a Monday night stream locked in just yet, but we'll give you all the deets on that as soon as we do! However, we do have the rest of the week locked in, and our main show guest this week will be Chloe Appleby, the Games Curator at Powerhouse Museum, and also, of course, one of Ruby's best friends.
And finally, on the podcast next week, Ruby will be having a very exciting chat with the programmer and writer on last year's indie hit, DREDGE - Joel Mason of Black Salt Games!

That's a wrap on February Back Logs, folks! Next time I talk to y'all, it will be in March, FF7 Rebirth will be out and we'll be in the month of Dragon's Dogma 2. Honestly, 2024 has been kinda amazing for releases already and we're not even a quarter of the way through - can all the devs maybe calm down a bit? I just need to actually finish some of those games that have already come out, you know...
- Ben :)
