Sorry if some of these are a little rough around the edges, I'm trying to spend as much time with Dad as possible whilst trying to get work out.Speak soon.In other news we had the appointment within the Repiratory/ Outpatient ward today. Their opinion? They are unsure whether it is cancer or not as Dad doesn't have some of the symptoms usually attributed with lung cancer. They are now sending him for a PET scan and we are now waiting on a call for an appointment to get said scan. This scan shall see whether the nodules in his lung are active (a possible indicator of cancer) or damage from when he had a lung infection a couple of months ago. The PET scan shall also confirm or deny whether Dad may have cancer elsewhere in his body that has metastasized to his lungs. We are hopeful, but also preparing ourselves for the worst. A layer on this that has caused frustration revolves around the initial report from our GP, who was adamant that the nodules in my Dad's lungs were cancerous (they have no way of truly knowing from just a CT scan, so it was a premature diagnosis) and they also incorrectly reported that the nodules are in both lungs, they are not, they are grouped in one.Fingers crossed that we have good news soon.
