yeah, absolutely nothing shady is going on here.

I originally I intended the 'Lucky cats' to be heavily misandrist and that's the reason Walter had trouble getting in bed with them....literally. But I felt that little 'exclusive' group is already bad enough the way they are....on top, Walter isn't an angel here either. And I feel like his own shady behavior would be lessened if we boil it down to them not liking him bc he's a dude.

Nathaer, Mino's former partner, on the other hand...he was just swept aside bc the lucky cats were more obsessed with our lucky queen.

On the one hand he's very entertaining and I love his design, on the other I want to see Rupert beat him up for hurting mino

I had to look up misandrist. I know misogynist because I see it everywhere. I see misandrist everywhere too, but I did not know the definition. Every day you learn a new thing is a good day.

Looks like we got a bit of a backstory from mino's past as well. Now I'm curious if "forty" was her former name. And what it means. Is it like a lucky number thing or something? Cause..you know. Calicos.

Calicos are so cute!

I'm guessing "Forty" was likely her nickname. Mino's original name did start with an "F" as she nearly uttered it when Rupi asked her what her name was after taking her in (Chapter 65, "Fortune Favors Fools, Part 4"). I'm going out on a limb here and say that her actual original name was "Fortuna" (after the Roman goddess of fortune and luck) and that "Forty" was her nickname. She does seem to have luck on her side, and she has that bracelet of 5-yen coins, which are supposed to be lucky, and which also seem to shimmer whenever she invokes her luck (Chapter 192, "Truth & Regrets, Part 3").

Ooof. Sometimes those are the breaks blondie. Mino's just more interesting than you are. It's no hate against you. It's just facts.
