as you may or may not know I tend to refer to him as ʎx∀ (or Axy) but...let's be honest, it would kinda boring if it was that easy. also, I find it kinda cute that she call him 'honey'...it's wholesome. Also these two just dropped some lore about themselves ;)

Just in case you are curious what ʎx∀'s language actually would sound like. I imagine it like a reversed mumble with lotsa reverb and crawling/crackling...that was recorded on a potato and the file is semi corrupted...I hope that helps

Let's check with her ex to confirm just how much her throat can handle. 😉

Ex-Boyfriend: I can confirm she was in fact not lying. lol, I can imagine that happening

File corruption is less a problem for red velvet and russet potatoes, according to the PIAA's sound recording guide. Washing them and scrubbing the skins also helps avoid recorded file corruption issues, as does peeling the skins off first, but then some of the potatoes' abilies to capture the CRISPIER parts of audio samples are lost. Employing a Sound Output Uniformity Removal, Conformal Recording Echo Attenuation Matrix, and Complex Holographic Interface Vector End Simplification algorithms post recording can result in what most listeners agree is a tastier, more nuanced sound. Some prefer to finish up by using Balanced Acoustic Carrier Orthomodal Nyquist Binaural Interoperating Tuning Syncopation, but purists will argue that doing so isn't, strictly speaking, kosher. ;-b (PIAA=Potato Industry Artists Association)

Lol, thank you for acknowledging the physiological differences between two species. It always makes me laugh a little bit when a nonhuman character with a vastly different facial structure (or mouth) just start speaking, like if the character doesn't have lips or the proper teeth setup, how are they able to speak a human language where you need those things to create the proper sounds.

Strong recommend on Project Hail Mary if you haven’t read that already. It plays around with the concept you mentioned.

I will confess, that was a very amusing double entendre that you employed. It can be taken entirely at face value until she appeals to her ex boyfriend and then? It was a joke worthy of ye old American vaudeville.

Juan Barbosa

So did you guys go full nerd and created a language? Is that your own script or some random font on the Internet?

Juan Barbosa

If I remember my basic animal biology, canine like teeth means that meat/flesh is on the menu... Soooo is that foreshadowing of her being on the menu?!?

Alistair Star⭐️

It...honestly doesn't. I got lost on the potato part😅. But what about the written part of his alien language?

Girlfailure failing her way to the top !

GSDragonic

Ayo, the dude trying to be scientific here! Why you down so bad girl? And why you bringing your exboyfriend into it?

Notme48

So that's how to pronounce ʎx∀!

Jeshthalion

"You should ask my ex boyfriend" pfffftttt, apparently she's been doing quite a lot with that mouth~ XD

Recognize that for TV and movies produced, written and acted by humans, intended for a human audience, going into all the intricacies and issues involved with actual non-human communication is boring as hell. And even if you can make interesting (which I'm sure they could) the time would necessarily be subtracted from TELLING THE STORY. Telling the story is what's important. Dwelling on the months of research required for talking extraterrestrial, less so. If you *have* to bring it up, use a 2 minute montage then get on with the plot.

"Recorded on a potato" XDD

Jeremy Roberson

My throat can handle a hell of a lot, just ask my ex-boyfriend 😂

dang, didn't know potato recordings was such a complex subject....no wonder most potato footage stinks XD

InSecurity

@Unca Alby: I'm happy to read that cause I agree. granted, it is interesting playing around with the logic of the world. But at one point you gotta put 'how does that even make sense?' aside in favor for having a story with a good pacing.

It even made my husband look up....and he's the one demanding more sexiness in our comics XD

The font is called 'SQUIZNOR' and sadly we didn't create it. But it's free to use for indie and non-profit usage over at Blambot :)
