It's quite some harsh language poor Viola has to endure. and as a person who puts her art online infront of so many eyes, it is quite nightmarish to think a horde like this would verbally abuse me for...minding my business? Thankfully that hasn't happened yet....let's hope it stays like this ^^

also, I'm quite happy revealing that Viola never had beef with Mino to begin with, so no short tail discrimination here. You can still be angry at her for using Mino as her punchingball and being rude, that's fair. But I like that by the end of the day there's no real hatred coming from Viola....just unfortunate coincidence ^^"

So, this didn't play out like I originally thought in my head for the characters. I'm pleased for the positive outcome on Mino's side of things and I feel slightly more endeared towards Violet.

Old man here. I don't know who needs to hear this, but you matter. People say mean things to give themselves a sense of power over you. But only you can grant them that power. Without that power, it's just words. It doesn't matter what they say or how true you're afraid it might be, you need put it in the context of they haven't earned the right to your emotions. Only the people who've demonstrated again and again that they care about you and have your back, have the right to your emotions. It does get easier with practice.

Bea is currently doing some work in..one of the states of Dakotas, I think? Said it's going to be until September, And currently doing bi-weekly updates on kitten. I don't know about her other comics though.

That's very true, and speaking as a (probably older) man with some connections in the new tech ... the problem is, when somebody gets enough people to "review bomb" you or "troll" your account, it *can* become overwhelming, to the point where you just want to shut off the comments. It can get bad enough until you don't have any other option. I once had a little Wordpress account, with all of 2 viewers (including me). I didn't get "trolled" unless you want to consider constant spam to be trolling. I eventually got sick of it and just turned the comments off (I know that made *me* upset, I don't know about that other person).

One big problem I noticed on social media is that folks tend to call all negative comments as 'haters.' If the person has an opinion, they are not haters, they simply disagree. A hater is one that calls you names and acts like a bully. I am glad to see Bea's comments in the strip are correct, those are haters.

two problems with this: one, the trolls will only take that as a challenge. they're only doing it to stir things up, and your responses, no matter how clever, is only giving them the attention they crave. two, the trolls outnumber you by at least a hundred to one. by the time you respond to all those idiots, you won't have any time to actually *do* anything. even with getting their accounts banned, they can create more at absolutely no cost. otherwise, at least it was entertaining to the rest of us!

Yes, lucky for me I'm just responding to imaginary trolls with responses I thought were kinda of fun :) On the real internet I'd get digitaly torn to shreds and probably banned from whatever form because the mod is the biggest troll of all.
