Because it's all innocent and stuff ;P

first of all, as usual, the full images are in the attachments.

second, the motifs this time are not matching, unfortunately....which is a shame because I would've loved seeing Jack in an apron 😔

no particular reason for this decision except that I had Jack's motif sketched last month and Mino's came to mind this month. and because I'm currently a bit strapped for time I decided to just roll with what I have rather than laying out and thinking up more work than I could handle, hence that I used the prepped sketch of Jack instead of sending him into the kitchen too. Granted, I could've drawn Mino wrapped in a blanket as well but...I really wanted to draw that cake batter idea ^^"

I wish the white stickers on Mino's piece worked out a bit better. But sadly, they weren't as pigmented as I hoped...let's see what other uses there will be for it :)

Also, I like to get some feedback on the scan quality. I'm currently using an old photoscanner and I kinda thought it would be of better quality than the scanner of my EcoTank. But...the art looks a bit pale, in comparison. Other thinks like the crispness and the holo stickers get captured a lot better. So I'm on the verge of keeping this scanner or getting rid of it...what do you say, is the quality of the art better or worse...or are you fine with it either way? Feel free to let me know ^^

also, heads up on the 'in SECURITY' pin up. I'm still working on it :)

Nice Bea but in my opinion, not as good as the one you did of Sedine mixing batter to make her German Chocolate cake. 😛

Jackie in just an apron definitely needs to be in a future piece! As for the scan quality, I did notice that Mino's piece did seem washed out compared to other months, but I do appreciate how much better the stickers show compared to the March pieces. For me, I have a preference for the scanner you used before, but honestly I feel like I could only tell because you said something.

Sedine should get in on this. That would definitely get Sam's attention!

Well, I'm not sure I know what "sweer" means, but Mino can bake a cake for me dressed like that any day of the week! As for the scan... I'm not sure what the difference would look like compared to your current scanner; perhaps a side-by-side would have helped us decide. I also have an Epson EcoTank (ET-8550) which I'd purchased last fall, and I like it well enough. However, compared to my old Canon PIXMA MP-810 (when it still worked!), it took a little getting used to; especially because in order to keep some items oriented properly, I've had to scan those certain items in "document mode" rather than "photo mode". However, I haven't scanned much of anything more challenging than old magazine ads and photographs; nothing with a metallic/reflective surface. As for printing, you do need to stay on top of the printer heads as far as keeping them clean; that's the only other issue I've had with it (thankfully, it has self-cleaning settings which work well, even if they do waste ink... 😢). The other sad thing compared to the Canon is that I can no longer scan 35 mm negatives and slides, and will need to get a separate scanner for those. Hoping to find a good one which will do all sizes of negatives and slides, from the old Brownie type to modern ones. The only difference that my Canon had was that the cover was backlit (with templates into which the slides or negatives fit), so that it shone through the negative or slide so that the scanning part could focus on the image. Unfortunately, those printers were designed to fail after about 10 years and Canon offers no support for them, or many of their other products (to the point where they had a class-action lawsuit against them), so Canon is pretty much on my 💩-list right now. So going from my experience, my advice is to keep the old scanner for a backup as long as it still works, since you never know what the future might bring. You don't want to get rid of the scanner only for something to happen with your main one and be in need of a scanner you just got rid of! 😰

Jack looks adorable, like he is just waking up~

The drawings are lovely :) As for the scans, they seem okay to me. It's hard to tell without looking at the originals also, but I see no problems with the scanned images as they are now :D
