The magic of 'copy-paste' XD

I mentioned earlier that cars aren't my strength. Which made this arc a bit tricky to draw because we see a fair amount of cars in it :)

To save some time I decided to copy and trace some of the cars which were shown in similar angles in different panels. For example I reused the first panel of this strip  in two other strips as well. Also Sam's bug from the third panel was traced several times in other strips too.

Also I'm happy that I finally found a strip again of which I kept a photo of the inkwork (without tones). Yay! :D

Hope you like it :>

I liked the whole arc. When a reader decides to go to Gocomics with the goal of reading your strip, you know you're doing it right. Keep up the good work. I am curious though. Has anyone mentioned that VW bugs were usually rear engine cars? Maybe this one was special?

Thank you. I feel really flattered about that ^///^. Yes, it was mentioned that the engine is in the wrong end. Although there are converted VW beetles with front engines :) However, I do have to own up on the fact that I didn't plan to give Sam a custom beetle from the beginning. Once I started drawing this arc I assumed the engine is at front, later I noticed I was wrong. However, smoke coming out the back would've not be such a dramatic visual like when it comes out the front of the car. Therefore I left it they way it was. Someone on GoComics was making a joke that the car broke down because someone took out the engine and shoved it in the front trunk. Therefore the mechanic put it back where it belongs and fixed the car that way...I'm really thinking about drawing the engine from now on in the back due to that ;)

The location of the engine is a minor thing, don't let it bother you. It's your strip and you can put the engine anywhere you want :o) I think putting the engine in the rear would have made this arc harder to work. Well done!
