First of all, my apologies for the delay. This episode should've been out on Monday. I had some hardware issues with my stylus and its pen pressure which made drawing low key uncomfortable. Ontop I was catching up with the pin up backlog. so everything got a bit delayed. That's being said, I will be skipping this weeks 'Katzen' update for that very reason. But next week onward I should have everything ready again ^^

about the episode....I'm sure this episode will split the fanbase. some will cheer for Viola....some want to throw her into an active volcano. me on the other hadn...I shall observe all your reaction from a safe distance XD

Idk I am just sad that Mino's bubble is popping. It is an inevitable, but always sad and painful fact of life. On the upside, she is now faced with many opportunities. Go Mino! You've got this!

If I had to make a guess. The popular dawn breed usually just does nothing but sit around and look pretty. Perhaps lazily. And viola just hates that kind of slothful nature, and perfers her own popularity or success to be shown or recognized through hard work & determination. Or perhaps she's mad because mino has a good life despite doing absolutely nothing while viola had to go through hard times to gain the success she has now. Or a mix of both. ...I'm honestly a little surprised I typed such long guesses.

I thought she was contributing, at least a bit anyway, because she had a "side hustle" restoring old furniture in the 'Absence makes the heart purr fonder' arc, maybe it was more of a temporary gig? That aside, I feel like she contributes more by being an emotional support for Rupert, like one of the emotional support animals. There was one Arc where she literally forced him to stop working and take a break when he was overwhelmed. I feel like that should count for something.

Mino may not be the sharpest tack in the box, but she's living a cat's life. Viola seems to want to put cat-kind behind her. The story intro made it clear that cats embraced both lifestyles. Finally we're seeing the tension between them.

I recall a story arc from some time ago where Mino wasn't feeling appreciated and left, and Rupert was desperately trying to find her. That arc never sat well with me because for as long as I've read this comic, Mino has been the judgmental, jealous, and demanding one while giving little to nothing in return...yet that arc made Rupert look like the bad guy for not taking even better care of Mino. And then I realized that it only bothered me because I saw them as relationship material, and that it was ME projecting that on them. (Of course, the NSFW art with the two of them certainly pushed me in that direction, but that's non-canon.) That they weren't actually in a relationship, or even a situationship, that she was basically a freeloader and he was content with that. So who am I to judge? So I suspect the division in fans will be between people like me, who want to see the relationship develop, and people happy with the status quo.

When Rupert brought Mino into his home, I don’t think he expected anything from her and true to her cat nature she’s being eye candy. Viola is an overachiever and talented but expects others to be the same which isn’t fair to Mino.

Viola's behavior makes perfect sense. She's discovered a genuine fan who actually knows how to appreciate literature. She's found a kindred soul. So she's going to start to care about Rupert's life. And up to this point, Mino has pretty much been living off of Rupert being the 'house cat'. Viola is a get up and do something and don't let anything get in your way sort of girl and Mino's personality is going to grate on her. And it's the sort of challenge Mino really needs to get. But at the same time, Mino's really only guilty of living the life Rupert has given her. He's made few demands upon her and the one fight they did have he really got upset when she left him. I am optimistic that this is the sort of kick in the posterior that Mino needs to get her whiskers in order.

The way I see it: Rupert is more than happy to cook and clean, so someone who would do that for him would be seen by him as unnecessary, or maybe even annoying, since he probably had a way he already likes them done. What he needs is someone who can provide what he *doesn't* have, which is companionship (and maybe a little excitement). I get Viola's point in general, but more often than not, two Type A personalities will clash, rather than be compatible. You need a Type B in the mix to smooth things out.

Of course, the naughty part of me would also like for the three of them to get together, but Bea and Mr. H don't do that sort of thing. Anyway, you darn well know Viola would wear the pants in THAT little ménage à trois! Rupi and Mino would be HER harem, NOT Mino and Viola Rupi's!
